In the June 1959 issue of Training Directors Journal, H.H. McKelvey wrote an article on the value of visual aids. Using these drawings in the article, McKelvey wrote that visual aids for a technical subject in a classroom full of students of different ages, backgrounds, and education levels is critical for knowledge retention.
