Why did you pursue the CPTD? In 2014, while working as a training and development specialist, I pursued the CPLP—now the CPTD—because I wanted to strengthen my foundation in the talent development field. I knew there was so much more to learn, and the credential felt like a meaningful way to push myself, build new skills, and grow in a thoughtful, intentional way.

What does having your credential mean to you? Volunteering with ATD—whether through committees or project work—has been a great chance to continue learning alongside others. These experiences have helped me stay grounded, continue developing professionally, and contribute in a small way to the growth of our field.
