Did you know that there is a dedicated group of past chapter presidents working to serve your chapter? The National Advisors for Chapters (NAC) serve as national volunteer advisors to chapter leaders and the national ASTD chapter services team. NAC members are charged with providing strategic direction and leadership in the development and support of ASTD chapters and members.

• Providing guidance about items related to CORE

• Assisting chapters with facilitating their annual board retreat

• Polling chapter leaders through social networking groups or area calls

• Helping leaders sign up for the ASTD communications

• Advising ASTD staff about issues of importance to chapters

• Identifying and examining future roles for chapters

• Ensuring that the needs of chapters are recognized by the Society

Interested in serving chapters on a national level, but haven't served in a president position? Consider applying for theChapter Recognition Committee or the ALC Program Advisory Committee. These committees are open to current chapter leaders or past chapter leaders regardless of position held. Deadline to apply is July 31.
