On why she’s attending: I’ve known about ATD for a long time, but I finally got a budget. [laughs]

On what she’s looking forward to the most: Artificial-intelligence sessions and sessions about instructional design. Learning what kind of competencies we need for the AI era.

Also, networking with everybody here because I only work with Japanese people usually. So, I want to see what’s the global issue around HR and talent development.

On differences she’s noticed between US and Japanese employees: It’s very different. Japanese employees are still lifelong employees. You work for one company for years and years. The system is much different from other countries.
