New Era of E-Learning Begins March 13
Loading...

I've been an observer of e-learning for almost 30 years. We've all been watching, haven't we? What do you see?

I have seen brilliant e-learning and pathetic e-learning. I've seen e-learning developers cobble together effective e-learning on shoe string budgets, and I've seen million dollar projects flounder. Unfortunately, the great mass of today's e-learning simply does not live up to e-learning's promise.

We in the L&D field do incredibly important work—sometimes even noble work. Given this, we owe our learners and other stakeholders the most effective e-learning we can deliver given our constraints.

It is with this sense of responsibility that last year I joined together with three of the field's most forward-thinking leader: Michael Allen, Julie Dirksen, and Clark Quinn. Together, we channeled the wisdom of thousands of research scientists, the world's best e-learning designers, and brightest advocates. We set out to push the state of e-learning to a higher plane—to bend the curve to enable e-learning to fulfill its promise.

Since our start, we have been joined by 33 of the world's best thinkers on learning and performance, including such thought leaders as Roger Schank, Allison Rossett, Marc Rosenberg, David Merrill, Thiagi, and Judy Hale.

Join us on March 13 at 2:00 p.m. CST for the revealing of The Serious eLearning Manifesto.

RSVP at http://elearningmanifesto.org to receive an email reminder for this Google Hangout. Following the results presentation, the speakers will open up the floor to questions and comments.
