(From The Star-Ledger) New Jersey businesses that hire workers who have run out of
unemployment benefits will receive up to $2,400 for
on-the-job training, Gov. Jon Corzine said yesterday.
The state Department of Labor and Workforce Development will
spend up to $8 million from discretionary federal funds to
pay for the incentives, which are expected to help 3,000 to
4,000 people find jobs. Corzine said it is the first program
of its kind in the nation.
