The business problems with which talent development practitioners grapple are only getting more complex, with rapid advances in technology, changing employee expectations, and the need to communicate and innovate in new ways. To learn how they might address those challenges in their own organizations, L&D practitioners can take advantage of such advances as peer-to-peer learning, proven practices, and advice from others in the field.

Those types of learning are some of the benefits of the ATD Forum, a consortium for TD leaders and their organizations to connect, collaborate, and share in a confidential environment.

During ATD25, attendees of ATD Forum-sponsored sessions will be able to use tools, frameworks, and cross-industry benchmarking to expand their leadership skills and strategic thinking capabilities.

One session, “Want Solutions That Work? Do a Deep Dive,” takes place on both Monday, May 19 from 1 to 2 p.m. and Tuesday, May 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The programs (facilitated by Forum member companies MAREK, bioMerieux, Gant Travel, and American Bureau of Shipping) give participants an opportunity to use a collaborative solution tool to delve into performance challenges and gain a more strategic approach to problem solving.

They have none paper, Post-Its, and several stacks of paper. One person points to a hand-drawn diagram on the wall. That diagram is shown larger above the sketch. It depicts a person with a lightbulb, thinking about these topics: strategic, business, collaboration partners, and measurement evaluation. Each category has ideas underneath. To the left of that hand-drawn poster is a hand-drawn poster that reads "Talent Leaders Bring the WOW," which as various notes and images collaged on it.] Experiential labs hosted at member site: using collaborative tools and techniques, moving from learning to doing [Sketch: A rocket labeled "career" shoots into the clouds; below, four people cheer] Leadership development opportunities: Presenting, facilitating, and publishing; elevating yourself and your company
