Don’t navigate your career path alone.

You care about the learning and development of others, or you wouldn’t have made a career in the talent development field. By attending ATD24, you’ve also demonstrated that your own growth is a priority.

Here are a few ways to move forward with your learning journey during the Association for Talent Development’s International Conference & EXPO.

Learning tracks. Search the conference app to develop your ATD24 schedule in accordance with your industry or niche. Tracks include career development, future readiness, government, healthcare, instructional design, leadership and management development, learning science, learning technologies, managing the learning function, measurement and evaluation, sales enablement, talent strategy and management, and training delivery and facilitation.

L&D consultations. With numerous roles falling under the TD umbrella, many industry professionals find themselves uncertain about the next steps in professional development. Let’s be honest—finding time to prioritize your own development can be a challenge.

Fortunately, at ATD24, you can receive assistance in reflecting on your learning goals with complimentary consultations. Meet with an expert from ATD to craft a personalized development plan for yourself or your team or to prepare for earning an ATD Certification Institute Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) or Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential.

Identify skills requirements and receive a variety of resource recommendations to support your (or your team’s) learning journey as a TD professional. The consultations are 15 to 20 minutes each and were in high demand at ATD23.

“The Talent Development Capability Model and You – A Roadmap for Your Career.” On Monday, May 20, from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m., ATD’s director of credentialing, Morgean Hirt, will share information about the TD Capability Model and how the self-assessment process can help TD leaders design a blueprint for their own success. This is a virtual session, so find a quiet spot and log on via your conference app.

Certification speed mentoring. You’re familiar with speed dating. Now, there’s a tool to quickly learn firsthand from APTD and CPTD certificants. Is certification right for you at this time in your career? Ask questions about the process, best practices for success, and what being certified has meant for certification holders’ careers. Attend on Tuesday, May 21 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in Room 351.

Community meetups. Yet another way to continue your own learning is via community meetups. The short, informal sessions will occur throughout the conference based on learning paths. Network with professionals new to L&D; instructional design leaders to catch up on trends; those interested in leveling up their TD toolkits; or individuals navigating the artificial intelligence revolution.

Coaching at the Career Center. Sign up early at the Career Center for a free, 45-minute coaching session from an International Coaching Federation-credentialed coach. Through a thought-provoking and creative process, your coach will be your partner in identifying, clarifying, and achieving your goals.
