Our local ASTD chapters across the country received a glowing endorsement in a recent Bloomfire interview with Anthony Lewis, Regional Director of Learning and Development for Time Warner Cable in Los Angeles, CA. When discussing social media and the need for added personal engagement, Mr. Lewis noted:

"A critical piece of advicemaintain your annual membership and get involved with your local ASTD chapter. In some areas, it may offer a Mentor Program. I believe that you should have a formal mentor at some point in your career. Find a mentor that is more senior than you and establish two goals he or she can help guide you toward."

The work that chapters are doing in pairing learners and mentors is clearly being recognized, and is a credit to all the hard work of our volunteer leaders!
