Refresh your memory of last year’s events as you gear up for this year.

Whether you’re an International Conference & EXPO veteran or ATD24 will be your first experience, you’ll have a better idea of what’s in store in New Orleans, Louisiana, by looking at last year’s event in San Diego, California.

Keynotes. Adam Grant, Priya Parker, and Leslie Odom Jr. delivered dynamic keynote speeches during ATD23.

Organizational psychologist at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, bestselling author, and podcast host Adam Grant kicked off the conference by asking attendees to rethink what they know and discussed how to “make work not suck.”

Priya Parker—a facilitator, strategic advisor, and author—asked attendees to define their need for coming together and how to create a space for gatherings.

Finally, actor and singer Leslie Odom Jr. closed out ATD23 with a keynote address on embracing risk, mentorship, and change. He finished by performing songs for the captivated audience.

BEST Award winners. Each year, the Association for Talent Development recognizes professionals and organizations for their commitment to L&D. The winners are honored in ATD’s annual Best Practices issue of TD magazine.

At ATD23, winners included Christian Furler O’Brien of BMS (One to Watch Award), Yao Huang of Florida State University (Dissertation Award), Hadiya Nuriddin of Duets Learning (Talent Development Outstanding Professional Award), and Kevin Oakes of the Institute for Corporate Productivity (Talent Development Champion Award).

Puppies. To counteract the overwhelming nature of a multiday conference, ATD brought puppies to the EXPO floor. Attendees could play with the pups for a break in the learning and networking. Spoiler alert: There will also be puppies at ATD24.

ATD Store. In addition to stocking hundreds of books, the ATD Store featured author meet and greets throughout the conference’s duration.

The ATD Store is back this year with more books, cool merchandise, and new authors to meet and greet.

Prepare to experience the above events—and more—with new flavor at ATD24 in New Orleans. We can’t wait to see you in just a few short weeks!
