A few years ago, talent development practitioners couldn’t have imagined how the world of work and the profession would have changed by now. First there was the pandemic and the need for skills relating to e-learning, including designing for the format and facilitating remotely. Many TD practitioners are now helping managers lead in a hybrid work environment and meeting employees who are demanding different capacity such as greater trust and transparency from their managers. And of course, artificial intelligence—which requires the TD team’s own growth, developing employees, and everyone learning to work alongside the technology.

So that ATD can better serve the TD community, it wants to hear from you in an online survey . What knowledge and skills do you use on a daily or monthly basis? How critical are they to you and to your company? How key is it that you understand your organization and the communication norms and preferences of its leaders and employees? How do those norms tie into organizational culture? Have project management skills become crucial for you to successfully do your job?
