Say the word “consulting” and many managers and leaders roll their eyes. They have images of polished folks in blue suits and red ties who come into the company, discharge business rhetoric using fancy graphs, and leave nothing of significance except a big invoice. Consulting is the brunt of many jokes, as evidenced by some magazines’ consulting debunking columns.
