As a former Walt Disney World Operations lead for Epcot Spaceship Earth, the Universe of Energy, and Journey Into Imagination, I was very familiar with something called a smellitizer—the device the Walt Disney Imagineers use to project aromas into an environment. The Spaceship Earth smellitizer projected burning ember smell into the Fall of Rome scene, musty swamp smell in the Universe of Energy dinorama, and lavender into the painting scene on the Imagination ride.
