The stress of the global health crisis coupled with the ability to pause and reflect on what we want out of our lives has many workers reconsidering their employment. According to a recent Gallup poll, 48 percent of the working population in the US is actively searching for new job opportunities. One of the main reasons for this is burnout. A June 2021 study found that 74 percent of employees said they have experienced burnout during their careers, and this situation usually ends with the employee seeking opportunities elsewhere. However, there are certain workers that seem to be burnout-proof. What do they have in common? For one, they are fully engaged in their work. They take care of their physical and mental well-being, and they work in organizations that play to their strengths. If you’re serious about reducing turnover at your organization, focus on promoting these three factors.
