Embedding Learning in the Job

How did you learn how to do your job? In school? Through formalized job training? From a manager? Whether an entry level employee or a senior executive with 20 years of experience, most individuals report that formal education and training played some role in helping them understand how to do their job. Yet the overwhelming majority of workers also say they gained most of their knowledge from on the job experience.
