An overwhelming amount is written on the necessity of employee training; however, managers are often overlooked in these discussions. Failing to provide training resources for managers almost always leads to negative business outcomes. To avoid problems at the management level, organizations should provide their managers with clear expectations, regular feedback, and coaching. Additionally, managers must be trained to recognize and address unconscious bias in the workplace and to create a positive work environment fostering diversity and inclusion. Other key strategies include implementing effective communication training, setting achievable goals, and aligning individual goals with the organization’s objectives. It’s also extremely important to provide managers with the necessary resources and support to perform their jobs effectively. Investing in managerial development is crucial for organizational success. By providing managers with the necessary training and resources, organizations can improve their performance and create a positive work environment fostering employee engagement and productivity.
