No one would have guessed we’d be living out scenes from a sci-fi movie, but here we are. I spent the majority of 2020 hunkered down. I previously worked from home with travel commitments, but that all changed a year ago. I only left home for supplies and after periodic quarantines would visit my mom. That’s it. Because of the limits I’d set to minimize exposure, I’d lost touch with a lot of how the rest of the world was carrying on.
