As we head into 2023, smart organizations are considering what their training priorities will be. One of the most pressing issues for many companies is closing skills gaps. Nearly half of L&D leaders think the skills gaps at their organizations are widening, and 49 percent say executives are concerned their employees don’t have the right skills to execute their business strategies moving into the future. Identify where these gaps are in your organization, and look for opportunities to upskill and reskill your existing workforce. Not only will this help close gaps, but it will also have the added benefit of increasing employee engagement and retention. Also, consider how relevant your current training materials are. Tailored job training programs with on-demand, bite-sized learning modules are more effective than lengthy traditional classroom sessions. Ask yourself if the training you’re providing will help you achieve your goals going into the new year.
