One of the questions I get asked the most is, “How do you know which story to tell?” It’s an excellent question. The setting where a story will be told has a lot to do with it. Stepping back to do an audience analysis is instrumental to guide you. For example, the choice is more straightforward when you are giving a conference presentation to a large audience than during an informal conversation.
