The power dynamics of the office are shifting, and employees everywhere are demanding more from their organizations. From flexible work schedules to on-demand training, employers are trying to remain competitive in the labor market. One element missing from the equation, though, is menopause leave. Job search engine Lensa analyzed the top internet searches for employee benefits and found that interest in menopause leave has increased by 1,300 percent over the past four years. And for good reason. According to a recent poll, more than one million menopausal women say they are ready to quit their jobs because they aren’t receiving the support they need. And this type of specific support could help companies’ bottom lines. Bloomberg estimates productivity losses due to menopause-related issues cost companies about $150 billion per year.
