The Association for Talent Development (ATD), formerly ASTD, announces that Rick Kerner, training and media specialist for Victaulic, has joined the Association’s board of directors for a two year term, 2015-2016, serving as the chair of ATD’s National Advisors for Chapters.
Mr. Kerner has been a corporate trainer with Victaulic since 1995. In this role, his responsibilities have included leadership development training in the United States and Canada, development of targeted learning initiatives for internal worldwide colleagues, and most recently assisting senior management with the recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
Highly engaged with the ATD chapter community, Mr. Kerner has been a member of ATD and the Eastern Pennsylvania chapter for more than ten years, including two terms as chapter president in 2010 and 2011. Under his leadership, the chapter was able to gain ATD recognition through innovative programming. He was elected to a three-year term on the National Advisors for Chapters, representing chapters in the northeast region of the U.S.
Mr. Kerner holds a bachelor's degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting from Montclair State University. He is passionate about customer service, time and performance management, and people development.
