In agencies and institutions that are largely federally funded, climate change initiatives are no longer just afeel goodeffort. Under President Obamas Executive Order 13514: Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance, agencies are required to track and report their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and integrate sustainability into strategic plans. Government managers are struggling to gather and interpret data to understand the impact their organizations have on climate change.
