T+D has a new look!

In this month's issue, you'll see a more modern and clean look to the photos, text, and design of all the articles. We approached this redesign with you, the reader, in mind. We wanted to create a clean look that was easy to read and modern in its approach to white space, while keeping the same high standards to the content and quality you are used to reading every month.

When space permits, ASTD.org information will appear at the bottom of the ad index in the back of the magazine. Information about T+D webcasts and most-read articles appears online at www.astd.org/td.

We changed the font to make text easier to read, and in doing so, we needed more space for the feature articles. To ensure that you receive the same quality of information and best practices in the feature articles, we had to cut out the executive summaries.

We also are debuting a new column, "One to Watch," which will trade off every other month with "Upward Bound." The new column will feature rising stars who are passionate about the training and development profession. They are forward-thinking, dedicated, and creative in the ways they approach industry challenges, and are making a business impact in their companies. Do you have ideas for "One to Watch" candidates? If so, send them my way.

As you will notice throughout the issue, we have created new icons to alert you to bonus content of certain articles that will appear online, as a podcast, or in the T+D app. At the bottom of the table of contents on page 3, you will see the icons and the descriptions and URLs that will help you find this extra content.

My staff and I are here to serve you, the readers. We have created an archive that spans 67 years of T+D, and an interactive condensed version of the magazine as an iPad, Android tablet, and Kindle app that is an extension of the print version of T+D. Let me know what you think about these products and the redesign. I'm excited about T+D. I hope you are too.
