And so it begins. My first editor's column in TD magazine. I may be new to you, the readers, but I am definitely not new to the magazine. For the past six years, I have remained primarily behind the scenes as managing editor, and then senior managing editor, heavily involved in producing TD every month. I've even written an article on occasion and regularly record the magazine's article podcasts. Now you can literally put a face to the name (and to the voice).

But enough about me. Let's talk about you and your talent development interests. Another first for this issue is the inclusion of In Focus, a section of custom content that we will publish each quarter. Whether it's training delivery, learning technologies, measurement and evaluation, or instructional design, if you're an ATD member, your preferred topic will be reflected in the content developed for you.

If you didn't get the chance to make your selection in time for the February issue, you received the training delivery print edition in the mail. To make a change, simply go to www.td.org/mypreferences.

Here's a glimpse of what's in the four editions: the learning technologies issue includes articles about storyboarding and prototyping, and converting classroom training to virtual training; the measurement and evaluation issue details approaches to evaluating behavior change and best practices for communicating the learning function's value to the C-suite; the instructional design issue features learning strategies supported by science and guidance on identifying stakeholders ahead of change initiatives; and the training delivery issue takes on storytelling and dealing with conflict in the classroom.

It's all great content. Should you be on the fence about two or more of the topics, keep in mind that you can read every In Focus section on our website and in the ATD Publications app.

Let me know your thoughts on In Focus and the magazine redesign that we introduced last month. 2018 is off to a strong start for TD; I'm glad to be with you on this journey.
