Organizations are struggling when it comes to developing leaders, and they're getting worse at it, according to recent findings by the Institute for Corporate Productivity and AMA Enterprise. A mere 27 percent of organizations are effective at developing leaders. Far fewer—15 percent—are prepared with successor candidates for mission-critical roles reaching beyond the executive level.
