Many employers want to keep up with the latest technologies, notably artificial intelligence. The challenges companies face include AI adoption and training employees on using AI tools. At the same time, AI itself is streamlining many organizations' processes. Companies must navigate both the challenges and the benefits.

Arecent XR Today report highlights a growing trend: Eighty-four percent of organizations are either using or actively exploring extended reality (XR) technologies, including augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality. That shift is fueled by advancements in hardware, an increase in accessibility, and the integration of artificial intelligence, which is making XR more scalable and cost-effective.

Top use cases driving adoption include training (36 percent), collaboration (30 percent), education (30 percent), and customer experience (26 percent). Organizations are increasingly turning to XR to support immersive learning and real-time teamwork in distributed environments.

However, several barriers persist. High costs, technical complexity, and employee resistance remain top challenges. Many organizations face hurdles in content creation and internal buy-in, particularly when expertise in XR is limited. Despite those obstacles, 66 percent of businesses plan to increase their XR budgets in the next year.

AI is playing a key role in reducing friction. Seventy-one percent of respondents believe AI is simplifying XR deployment, while half expect it to improve user experience. Respondents also expect AI to make XR-based training more effective and efficient, signaling a shift toward more intelligent, interactive learning environments across industries.

Artificial intelligence isn't optional—it's essential to remain in business. Companies that don't train for it will lose to those that do. But right now, AI adoption is stuck in a no-man's-land between two key departments:

· IT owns the rollout but often delivers dry, feature-heavy training.

· HR champions people but resists the technology itself.

And Copilot? It lands squarely in the middle, transforming how teams work, think, and create. Without real collaboration between IT's tech people and HR's people people, most Copilot training falls flat.

The result? Employees tune out or turn to risky AI tools outside Microsoft's secure ecosystem. That's a direct threat to your compliance, security, and competitive edge.

The fix? Build a bridge. Sync IT's deployment with L&D's vision. Deliver training that motivates and inspires. Focus less on buttons and more on scenarios. Make it fast. Make it fun. Make it feel like a future worth embracing.

Here's the truth about AI rollouts: Inspiration energizes adoption.

The AI train is pulling out. If your people aren't onboard, they'll be left behind. Or worse, they'll be run over by the biggest technology transformation in human history.

There are significant challenges both organizations and employees are facing in 2025 when it comes to IT training. Skills gaps are increasing as technologies and platforms rapidly advance, requiring continuous learning and adaptation. Workplaces are struggling to keep up with the pace of change, leading to potential productivity dips and employee frustrations.

Effective team training is crucial to navigate those hurdles. By investing in collective skill development, organizations can ensure their workforce remains relevant and agile. Such an approach fosters consistency in knowledge, promotes collaboration, and accelerates the implementation of new technologies. Moreover, it boosts employee morale and aligns individual growth with organizational goals.

According to LinkedIn Learning, 94 percent of employees would stay at a company longer if it invested in their career development. That statistic highlights how effective training directly translates to financial success and a more resilient, prepared workforce in the face of future challenges. Team training isn't just about learning; it's a strategic investment in long-term organizational excellence and employee empowerment.
