The article presents information on shortage of qualified professionals in finance services industry and information technology (IT) in the U.S. A survey conducted by Robert Half International Inc. indicated an increased emphasis in recruitment, training and retention by employers in IT and finance. Searching for skilled IT professionals and providing existing employees with skills training are two top staffing challenge for companies. Many companies are adopting learning and skill programs to help businesses identify needed skills and obtain quality, affordable employee training.
