The CIPD podcast—from the HR management member organization of the same name—is a great source of discussion surrounding HR and L&D. It's more polished than many other L&D podcasts and is viewed as one of the grandfathers of HR podcasting. Featuring some of the biggest, best, and brightest minds in HR and L&D, the podcast has more than 150 episodes on topics ranging from automation to workplace agility, unconscious bias, cybersecurity, and performance management.

Each episode features a panel with a senior CIPD employee as a host, and typically two additional subject matter experts, but the panel rotates depending on the topic. Episodes are approximately 30 minutes long and are published roughly monthly. Every episode has a supplementary transcript.

In Episode 153, "Learning In The Flow of Work," the panel's discussion stems from Deloitte HR and L&D expert Josh Bersin's theory that the work world is entering a new era. The panel—comprised of Andy Lancaster, head of learning at CIPD; David James, chief learning officer at Looop; and Kate Graham, head of content at Fosway Group—notes that learning is generally most effective when talent development professionals use software and processes similar to what the learners use in their role, as opposed to internal universities or academies. Other recent episodes include "Neurodiversity: A Vital Aspect of Workplace Inclusion," "Executive Pay and the Psychology of Motivation," and "The Many Merits of Workforce Planning."
