Conventional wisdom says that it's impossible to achieve the degree of participant engagement through virtual learning experiences as with in-person programs. That view, based on my experience, stems from assumptions about the limitations of virtual platforms, participant separation, distractions, and the experience of low engagement in sessions as a facilitator or participant.
