Cool Tool: Mural

Collaboration application Mural makes it easy for L&D teams to brainstorm and share ideas in real time. Available online for both Windows and Mac, the tool enables users to create virtual canvases and whiteboards.

Whether starting with a blank canvas or using the app's vast template library, users can workshop new program ideas, generate design concepts, create flowcharts, and edit existing learning programs in an interactive setting. The template library includes murals focused on project kickoffs, education templates for training purposes, planning templates to focus on the context and purpose of your workshops, and brainstorming templates.

Once you create an account, the app's simple layout and navigation makes creating a new mural a breeze. Add notes, pin images and files, and connect with colleagues (although there's no in-app chat on the Mural's free version). The free version does provide unlimited collaborator seats as well as all the visual collaboration and facilitation features, which include super lock to keep objects in the same place and summoning to ensure the right people see the right content.
