The article discusses the essential elements of online communication. Regarding verbal and email as the same thing can be a big mistake especially in the work environment. In face-to-face communication, majority of the information is conveyed through body language and voice inflection, while in electronic communication, the words are the clues for accurate decoding of message. Thus, it is important to have the ability of decoding e-body language well and to have a better training of how to read it. Suggestions of clear online communication from the perspective of the writer is presented. Also discussed are the three main areas in which e-body language of email is conveyed, namely, tone, timing, and tension.
