Employees Thrive on Work Friendships

A study by HR solutions firm Globoforce found that employees with work friends are significantly more committed to their companies. Nearly all the study's participants said that work friendships improve their general happiness and quality of life—perhaps not surprising, given that most employees spend significantly more time with their co-workers than with their families.
