Talking-head videos have the unique ability to offer direct, personal communication between the speaker and the learner. In L&D, the format typically refers to a subject matter expert speaking directly to the learner via a static, single camera. When learners see the SME talking straight into to the camera, they feel as if the SME is personally speaking to them, which fosters trust and engagement.
