Several years ago, I felt trapped in a career I spent years building. I was a high school teacher, passionate about education and helping students, but I was burned out from working multiple jobs to make ends meet. I wanted a change, but I felt stuck. At first, I chose a conventional approach to switching careers. I revised my resume and applied to any position that looked moderately interesting. I had no success.
