This article presents advice related to evaluating employee training programs. Training programs usually create some people who apply their training and obtain valuable results such as increased sales or improved quality of products. If no employee can use the training for positive results, then it should be discarded. A firm has to decide how much useful a particular training program is. Almost 80 percent of training failures are caused by several factors related to the performance management system. Most trainees do not apply or make sustained use of their learning.
