In November, HBR IdeaCast reached its 1,000th episode. The podcast, hosted by Harvard Business Review's executive editor Alison Beard and senior editor Curt Nickisch, features in-depth interviews on communication, problem-solving, business, management, and leadership skills essential for professional and personal success.
To celebrate the major milestone, Beard and Nickisch shared "10 Gems from IdeaCast's First 1,000 Episodes." The special includes excerpts from previous installments and guests such as Michael Porter, a business strategy expert; Christina Maslach, a burnout researcher; Nicholas Pearce, clinical associate professor at the Kellogg School of Management; and Oscar-winning director Ron Howard. Topics range from refreshing company culture to righting conversational wrongs to oversharing to making decisions under pressure.
In a different recent episode, Gianpiero Petriglieri, associate professor at INSEAD, introduces three approaches that leaders can use to encourage learning.
