The end objective of training should be the conservation and full utilization of human energy, materials, and tools, in the produc-tion of saleable goods of quality at the lowest cost and in sufficient quantity to compete in the open market and realize the maximum profit in order to pay the cost of doing busi-ness and pay wages and salaries. The cost of doing business involves the pay-ment of interest on borrowed money, liquida-tion of borrowed capital, payment of fixed charges, deposits in a reserve fund to provide for replacements and expansion, the purchase of raw materials.
