The article reports on the findings of a survey conducted by Hewitt Associates Inc., highlighting the important role of personnel management, talent management and outsourcing in corporate organizations. About 100 large U.S. companies representing 2 million employees were included in the survey. The survey revealed that about 91 percent of the companies have been standardizing human resources (HR) processes to prepare for outsourcing implementation. Mark Oshima, director of HR outsourcing strategy at Hewitt Associates, says that standardizing HR processes and policies is the first step in HR transformation. The survey reflected that the outsourcing practice is the best way to improve the service quality of organizations.
