This article discusses advantages of effective leadership in improving work conditions and maintaining better coordination among co-workers with special reference of the leadership program funded by Ithaca College, New York. The U.S. Army is among the organizations that have taken notice of this leadership program. According to Mary Tomaselli, staff development manager of the college, one of the objectives of the above mentioned program was to improve the quality of work life and the development of employees. Ithaca College President Peggy Williams advocates of good humor in the workplace to avoid stressful movements.
