In the summer of 2002, the US military implemented the most ambitious simulation exercise it had ever planned. Dubbed "Millennium Challenge," the event primarily sought to evaluate new concepts and emerging technologies as well as train warfighters to operate in a new, envisioned world where people and machines linked and are more data-dependent than ever before.
