L&D Must Change

Jess Almlie has spent more than a quarter of a century in people development fields. Now, as a learning and performance strategist, she's using her experience and connections to help other L&D professionals.

The L&D Must Change podcast was born in the spring of 2024 to effect change in people development fields. Almlie uses the biweekly podcast to interview L&D leaders working to improve the profession in some way, shape, or form. The podcast aims to give listeners ideas and actionable steps to better engage learners, reinforce learning, and work strategically.

Guests include neurodiversity expert Jessica Michaels, who used her diagnoses of autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder—which she was unaware of until her 30s—to amp up learning design with expanded options. Another guest, Christopher Adams, principal consultant for Performance Change Strategies, discusses performance consulting.
