Learn by Doing

The US Department of Defense has a workforce of more than 19,000 project managers, and it is the Defense Acquisition University's (DAU) job to train those managers and support their career development. A key part of their development is a series of courses that use simulations and experiential exercises to accelerate the learning and application of a broad set of critical project management skills. The exercises place students on a project team where they must work together to apply the skills taught in earlier online modules and classroom seminars.
