The article focuses on the use of blogs as a powerful learning and networking tool for individuals, groups and organizations in the U.S. It is stated that most people begin blogging by signing up with really simple syndication (RSS) reader and by subscribing to different blogs. The benefit of using an RSS reader is that it shows new content from all feeds since the last time the user viewed them. Meanwhile, the nature of a blog raises the stakes because it resembles a presentation at a meeting or teaching in a classroom.
