The article focuses on the development and usefulness of management practice methodology entitled "Management by Walking Around (MBWA)" in the U.S. The method is a hand-on and innovative approach to management, wherein various organizations successfully executed the management practice including Hewlett-Packard, GE, PepsiCo, Corning Glass, Wal-Mart and other multinational enterprises. Greg Gostanian of ClearRock explains that, through MBWA, employees are unnecessary to go to their managers when problem arises. He describes MBWA as a useful tool in helping organization increase profits, reduce losses and improve retention.
