The article presents several strategies to help one manage their supervisor to improve their work life. One should first determine exactly what the issue is. If one's boss is a micromanager, they should prove that they are capable by requesting complete control over small tasks and then building from there. If she is a nonmanager, one should guide her by offering choices and being specific with one's requests. Many of the frustrations employees experience with managers are because of a communication breakdown. One should set up regular meetings to tell one's boss about their career goals and discuss what they need to get there.
