The article presents information on the importance of training in the management of a company. In an article published in the September 1997, Scott B. Parry, author of the article, discussed some complaints from training professionals. Training professionals complained that the people who are interested in training are not sent to the training. They said that their efforts were undermined by the management. In an article by W.T. Scherer, published in January 1978, discussed that a trainer must consider why there is a training function in his organization. In another article by Parry, published in September 1997, he suggested some actions for how to get the support of the management for workplace training and development programs.
