The article discusses the need for the training community to make a better case for the value of employees' training and development in the U.S. According to the author, any one can demonstrate value, provided he must understand the business context and the cost of training program. An online employee review system should be developed that provides managers with access to the defined curriculum for each of the staff. In addition, if learning professionals performed a better job of demonstrating value to the organization the management will be able to correlate that value to training budgets.
