The City of Austin, Texas, has launched the Austin Infrastructure Academy, a groundbreaking initiative to prepare a skilled workforce for the city's forthcoming $25 billion infrastructure projects. Future construction includes expanding the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and renovating the Austin Convention Center.

Unlike traditional programs, the initiative, which the Austin Community College District houses, specifically targets individuals without four-year degrees and offers them viable pathways into the skilled trades.
