More Workers Are Becoming Independent Consultants

The pandemic gave many employees time to reflect on their work and lives. Some asked themselves what they really wanted. Others didn't have that luxury and were furloughed or assumed additional responsibilities in the way of childcare and helping school-age children with virtual studies. One result has been an increase in people pursuing independent contract work.
