Fifteen years ago, I moved from a coaching and training career in the performing arts to the business world. The transition taught me two things: Commitment to prioritizing time efficiency is the quickest way to neutralize learning, and belief in training wanes when the impact of learning is gone. That happens every time an L&D budget gets slashed or stakeholders demand higher results with fewer dollars to support the demand.
